Sodium Chloride Injection is a colorless, clear liquid with a slightly salty taste. As a fundamental electrolyte supplement, it is essential for maintaining fluid balance and osmotic pressure in the human body. Once administered intravenously, sodium chloride enters the blood circulation directly and distributes widely, primarily existing in the extracellular fluid.

Both sodium and chloride ions are filtered by the glomerulus and partially reabsorbed by the renal tubules. The majority is excreted by the kidneys via urine, while a small portion is eliminated through sweat.
